Our roots are in Queens, and every neighborhood is part of our camp community. From Astoria, Flushing, Bayside, Forest Hills, Fresh Meadows, and Jackson Heights to Jamaica, Middle Village, Whitestone, and every corner in between, children come together to make new friends, stay active, and explore new experiences.
With free transportation throughout Queens, parents know camp is not only fun but convenient. Every summer, our buses bring kids safely to camp, where they join small groups designed for personalized care and attention. Whether it’s swimming instruction, playing sports, or heading out on exciting trips, Queens families know their children are in the best hands.
Right after Queens, our largest group of campers comes from Nassau County. Parents from Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn, Port Washington, Valley Stream, Hewlett, and beyond choose World of Discovery because of our unique mix of swim safety programs, sports, and weekly trips that keep children engaged and excited all summer long.
Even though we don’t provide pickup in Nassau, families find it easy to connect with our Queens transportation routes—and they tell us it’s worth every mile for the quality of experience their kids receive. For many Nassau parents, our Red Cross–certified swim program and our emphasis on small groups are the deciding factors when choosing the best camp.
