Each morning begins with our summer day camp bus picking up our three bus counselors.  While the bus counselors supervise the campers , the bus driver safely drives the bus and picks up the children who live in Great Neck .  Not only are the bus counselors the first ones picked up in the morning, they are also the last ones dropped off in the afternoon. 

When the summer day camp bus arrives to your home in Great Neck, your child will be greeted by the bus counselors , escorted onto the bus and seat-belted in.  Once your child arrives at our Bayside campground, campers meet with their fellow campers, camp counselors and Division Leaders.

Our shady, cool and exclusive summer day camp campground is where campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of summer camp activities.  We have both an indoor and outdoor campground located at the John Golden ballfields at Crocheron Park  Our indoor air conditioned facility is complete with an auditorium, cafeteria and gymnasium. 

At our campground, campers will participate in a variety of kid-friendly activities and sports such as kickball, flag football, volleyball, tennis, soccer, baseball, basketball and much more!  At World of Discovery, we offer more than just sports.  We also feature a full-time arts and crafts program and an interactive hands-on science program that is designed and run by NYS licensed science teachers.

Under the direction of our Water Safety Instructors, our team of American Red Cross certified lifeguards supervise and instruct swimmers in the safety of our exclusive swimming pool.  Our swimming pool is open exclusively to World of Discovery campers and staff.  Once campers are individually tested, they are placed into small group instruction of no more than 4 swimmers per lifeguard based on skill level.  Not only do swimmers get the opportunity to participate in our swim instruction program but they also may participate in recreational swimming as well. 

Campers embark on 2-3 weekly summer day camp field trips to some of the most exciting child-centered locations throughout New York City and Long Island.  Trips are included in the cost of our summer day camp tuition.

For over 30 years, World of Discovery Day Camp has been providing summer day camp fun to children of Ozone Park, Queens.  World of Discovery Day Camp provides door-to-door air conditioned transportation to and from Ozone Park, Queens NY.  Every morning our summer day camp bus will arrive at your doorstep.  Your children will be greeted by our summer day camp bus counselors and your child will board the Ozone Park summer day camp bus.  Not long after being seat-belted in, your child will soon arrive at our exclusive summer day camp campground located at the beautiful John Golden ballfields in Crocheron Park, Bayside, NY.  It is there where children will participate in activities at our indoor air conditioned facility and exclusive outdoor campground.

At World of Discovery Day Camp, we provide children ages 4-15 with the best summer day camp experience ever!  Once children arrive at our safe and fun summer day camp, campers are placed into groups according to age and gender.  Your child will be grouped with children just a few months apart in age.  Your child will meet their summer day camp counselors and Division Leader.  The majority of our summer day camp staff start out as campers at World of Discovery Day Camp.

Campers will participate in sports activities including baseball, football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis and much more.  Arts and crafts specialists are available for activities as well as a full time New York State licensed science teacher who prepares an amazing hands-on science program.

Our Water Safety Instructor along with our team of American Red Cross certified lifeguards implement the American Red Cross swim instruction program to teach children how to swim.  Children are individually tested and placed into small swim groups of 3-4 swimmers per lifeguard. 

Afternoons at World of Discovery are packed with fun child-friendly activities such as billiards, martial arts, dance class, arts and crafts, internet café, sports instruction, free swim and special events including puppet shows, magic shows and a variety of interactive games!

Campers embark on 2-3 weekly trips some of the best child-friendly trip locations that New York City and Long Island have to offer.  Children visit nyc attractions, children’s museums, sports complexes, go-karts, historical sites, fun stations, amusement parks, skating, bowling, and other fun places that provide valuable learning experiences. Overnight trips to Mountain Creek Water Park, Hershey Park and Dorney Park are available to campers ages 10 and up.
