When searching for a summer camp, preparation is key. Parents should visit a summer camp open house and be prepared with a list of questions to ask. It is important to find a summer camp that is safe and fun.
The first question that you should ask at a summer camp open house is how long has the camp been in operation. Then you should find out if the summer camp is licensed by the Board of Health.
World of Discovery Summer Camp of Queens, NY has been in operation for 30 years and is fully licensed and insured.

At World of Discovery Summer Camp, situations are first handled by the counselors. Counselors explain to campers what good behavior is and are good role models for campers. If counselors cannot handle a situation properly, then Division Leaders will need to get involved. Division Leaders are more qualified and have more experience in dealing with behavioral issues. In the rare event that the Division Leader cannot fully eliminate the unwanted behavior, then an Assistant Director would be notified. At this point, the parent of the camper would be notified.
